The quest supporting entrepreneurship in Nepal continues!

Our adventure continues, studying the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Karnali and Dang. Another two weeks of insightful interviews with 30 stakeholders, 9 of them entrepreneurs, and 4 focus group discussions. We visited a ginger processing farm and became fascinated by a woman entrepreneur, who launched both a water treatment facility as well as a recycling plant in Surkhet; met young innovators, who are pushing the limits of traditional farming and a women tomato farmers’ group that identified ways around the issue of irrigation, farmers in Ghorahi face.

Though, we listened and learned about an abundance of problems entrepreneurs encounter, but concluded our study with the feeling that the opportunities outbalance those difficulties. As two interviewees put it, ‘entrepreneurs see opportunities everywhere’ and ‘see solutions where other see problems’.
